Carles Cardelús
Carles Cardelús is a filmmaker and a professional freelance photographer. Based in Barcelona, he is specialized in fashion, portraits, headshots and commercial photography. As a filmmaker, he mostly focuses on fashion and documentaries.
His works include commercials for brands BMW, Ikea and Freixenet as well as international film productions such as "The Good Heart" and "I want to be a soldier". Further, he is teaching as a professor for cinema at ELISAVA (Barcelona University School of Design and Engineering).
Cardelús is a co-owner of the production company Kilogram Box of Barcelona which produced one of his most relevant projects: "Socotra: The Hidden Land". The documentary sheds light on the life and daily struggle of the people of the Island of Socotra in Yemen.
The award winning documentary was shown at several festivals such as the Canada International Film Festival, UK Film Festival, NIFF or GZDOG.

catalina martin-chico
The Franco-Spanish photographer Catalina Martin-Chico was trained at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. Based in Paris, her work is exhibited in cities all over the world such as Brussels, Madrid, Rome, Milan, Toronto and New York.
Martin-Chico work is part of the tradition of humanistic photography, documentary and investigative photojournalism reflect for example in the project on FARC ex-fighters in Colombia which won the 2017 Canon Women's Photojournalist Award
Martin-Chico is one of the few photojournalists to work regularly in Yemen since 2007, her work being published in Le Monde, New York Times, Le Figaro among others. She won the ICRC's 2011 Humanitarian Visa for covering the Yemeni revolution which was exhibited at the International Visa for Image Festival the same year. She continued her commitment to Yemen by documenting the elections in 2012 as well as working on the Socotra Island, in Saada and Sana’a.

giampaolo musumeci
Giampaolo Musumeci is an Italian freelance journalist and filmmaker reporting on African issues, immigration and war zones. His work has been featured in a variety of international news and radio channels such as Channel 4, Rai News24, Rai Tre,Radio France International, Radio Swiss and several NGO's, including the International Federation of Red Cross. Further, Musumeci is the co-author of "Confessions of a People Smuggler" (Chiarelettere, 2014) which was published in Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Finland and Taiwan and deals with smuggling and human trafficking to Europe.
His documentary "Child Brides" (2013) covers the devastating patterns of child marriage in Yemen based on the testimonies of young women who were forced into marriage but managed to escape Moreover, Musumeci covers various stories from Yemen as the host of the Foreign Affairs radio program "Nessun luogo è lontano" on the Italian Radio24 - Il Sole24Ore which covers various stories from Yemen.

Katarina Premfors is a Dubai-based freelance photographer covering the Middle East since 1992. Premfors' works on the Middle East reflect her personal insights of her upbringing in Pakistan, Turkey and North America.
Committed to telling stories to create a positive social impact, she is a founding member of Photographers for Hope. The global photographers collective was established in 2010 to produce impactful photo-documentary campaigns in impoverished communities worldwide.
Premfors works comprises a variety of editorial and commercial campaigns for private and public sector enterprises, such as UNICEF, Greenpeace, Visa International and Emirates Airlines. Further, her work is regularly published in outlets such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Forbes and Wall Street Journal.
Premfors travelled to Yemen in 2009, covering Sana'a, the Hadramaut region and to Mukalla for two weeks which resulted the collaborative project "Yemen: Treasure Trove" exhibited at the About Total Arts at the Courtyard in Dubai

Samuel Aranda
Spanish photojournalist Samuel Aranda is based in Crespia, Catalonia. He frequently works for the New York Times in the Middle East and Africa but his assignments led him to Pakistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Colombia and Yemen for the National Geographic, Stern, Le Monde and El Pais Semanal among others.
Aranda's work focuses on conflict, migration and social issues around the world. His cover on the refugee crisis was awarded with the Ortega y Gasset prize as well as the Nikon photography prize in 2016. His photographs are exhibited around the world, such as the CCCB in Barcelona, the Cervantes Institutes in New York and Tunis as well as the Silk Road Gallery in Tehran.
In 2011, Aranda was one of the photographers to cover the Yemeni uprisings for the New York Times. One of his images was awarded the World Press Photo of the Year for an image from the Yemeni uprising taken while on assignment for The New York Times.
